With a passion for service to God and lifting up those around her, Dr. Leona Wilkins is Answering “The Call” …, As “The Chosen” …, to “minister, preach and teach the Gospel”, in a powerful way. Her title is S.T.A.M.P., or Speaker Teacher Author Ministry Preacher. This perfectly captures who she is as a dynamic woman of God, and how she aims to change the world through the gifts and wisdom she has been divinely blessed to share.
From the very beginning of her life Leona has been set aside to do remarkable things. Her unwed, teenage mother was convinced by Leona’s biological father, to give Leona to his mother, her paternal grandmother, when she was an infant. As a child being raised in the church, Leona quickly learned that service to God was more than just a half-hearted effort. Attending multiple services many Sundays, in addition to daily prayers and regular fellowship with others, Leona saw first-hand, the impact of putting God at the center of her life. It is a lesson she carried with her throughout life, which holds even more meaning today as she ministers to the world, what the amazing works of God can do.
As an adult, Leona spent nearly three decades as a healthcare professional. After working as an Endodontist for more than 25 years, she experienced a life-altering encounter with God’s higher purpose for her divine path. As she puts it, she was taken “from the long white coat and the scalpel to the tiny white collar and the sword”! This visitation “Call” instructed her to pursue a life of ministry in the name of Jesus “The Christ” of Nazareth. Just as it is recorded in Luke chapter 4, she is charged “to set the captive free”. This revolutionary experience has given her the ability to discern the voice of God and assist others in achieving a one-on-one relationship with the Holy Father. She eloquently depicts this experience in her first book “Arrested By the Hand of God: The Unmistakable Call”.
Since that transformative time, Leona has dedicated her life to this heavenly calling. She now serves the Lord, and His people, as a Speaker, Teacher, Author, Minister, and Preacher to share God’s perfect and beautiful message with anyone seeking truth. Being able to share that message through her inspirational writings and speeches are some tools she is thankful to have in her arsenal during this mission.
Whether she is preaching from the pulpit, teaching in a classroom, speaking at a podium, writing captivating words, teaching via YouTube or on podcasts, Leona is continually seeking out new ways to get God’s message to the masses. She is a beacon of light, which dispels darkness. She understands the important role she plays as a vessel for the Lord’s higher purpose.
